A small business is currently being investigated for serious allegations involving some of its most popular products.
The Paper and Plan Co. located in St. Louis, MO, is known for its viral Playtime Pads®. The company has been producing products for children since 2022 when the staff reminisced about playing pretend as children. From that conversation, Playtime Pads® were born, creating the entire category in the industry.
Now the small company is under investigation. They face serious accusations of inciting fun, encouraging imaginative play, and reducing screen time. Big Screen was quoted saying “Screen-time is down across the board. Kids are having too much fun using their imaginations and putting pen to paper. These kids are learning reading, spelling, math, and penmanship! This is against everything we stand for!" Officials report that the business is expected to release a response to the allegations as the investigation wraps up.
When we reached out for a comment, the owner said “The investigation is ongoing, so I can’t say much, but right now, it seems like what we’ve created has really shaken the traditional toy and tablet industry.”
